Medical Laboratory Scientist - Full-Time Night
About the role
The Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist Journeyman is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT/CLS JRN personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties.

Responsibilities
- Perform pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution
- Report high complexity laboratory test results accurately and timely with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, as well as other Laboratory Services staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences

- 1 year experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a department in the laboratory or exceeds principal duties and functions in the MLS I job description
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity laboratory
Pay
The base pay range for this position is $37.84 - $58.75 per hour. Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
