Clinical Lab Scientist - Full Time Night
About the Role
This full-time night shift position is located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. Reporting to the Senior C.L.S./Supervisor, the Clinical Lab Scientist assists in the operation of the Laboratory by performing specialized tasks involving medical laboratory testing, reporting results, and ensuring accuracy. The role includes training and orienting new technologists, directing the work of laboratory assistants and auxiliary personnel, and maintaining a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures and quality control policies.
The employee is expected to demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of Corona Regional Medical Center and support the hospital’s strategic plan and performance improvement goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform and report results of medical laboratory tests with responsibility for accuracy.
- Assist in training and orientation of new technologists.
- Direct the work of laboratory assistants and auxiliary personnel.
- Maintain working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures.
- Understand and comply with all quality control policies.
- Actively participate in fulfilling the mission of Corona Regional Medical Center.
- Support the hospital’s strategic plan and performance improvement goals.
Requirements
- Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License required.
