Overview
Sign-on Bonus Available. Shift: Monday - Friday 7a-3:30p. Location: Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Ga.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of laboratory management, lead all aspects of operation in assigned section/team/department, including preparation and maintenance of records, reports, policies and procedures; analysis of testing methodologies; employee training/staffing; technical oversight; and compliance.
- Work in collaboration with team members to ensure tasks, priorities, goals and achievements are coordinated with management.
- Assist with test validations, regulatory compliance, quality control/assurance, and maintenance within assigned area.
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, treating and preventing disease.
Qualifications
Education:
- H.S. Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's Degree in clinical laboratory science, biomedical science, medical technology, or a life/biological science (biology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc.) preferred.
Work Experience:
- 3 years of hospital experience required.
- Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Certification as a medical technologist or medical laboratory scientist by ASCP, AMT, or AAB according to qualifications through the State of Georgia Department of Community Health, Healthcare Facility, Clinical Laboratory regulations—required upon hire. AAB provisional certification not accepted.
