Lead Medical Assistant

About the Role

This role leads the work of Medical Assistants and others in the clinical operation of a patient care setting. Performs duties required to assist health care professionals in the examination and treatment of patients, such as preparation of the patient and environment, conducting basic laboratory and medical tests, care of the patient post-treatment, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Must adhere to job description of General Dermatology Medical Assistant or LVN
• Train Medical Assistants and others; serve as a resource to other clinical staff
• Maintain appropriate log books and records according to company’s policies and procedures, such as pregnancy test logs, refrigerator logs, etc.
• Inventory and assess equipment, instruments, and supplies for clinical teams
• Inventory sample closets monthly
• Be prepared for emergencies, follow facility’s plans to notify appropriate staff, and be familiar with emergency equipment
