Lead Medical Assistant
About the role
Medical Assistant Lead performs non-invasive routine technical support services under the supervision of a licensed physician and surgeon, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or nurse midwife in a medical office or clinic setting. The Medical Assistant Lead handles a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. Assists the provider by ensuring the practice is running efficiently and professionally. Responsible for multi-tasking various duties assigned within the department.

Responsibilities
- Perform non-invasive routine technical support services under supervision
- Handle a variety of administrative and clinical tasks
- Ensure the practice runs efficiently and professionally
- Multi-task various duties assigned within the department
Requirements
- Completion of formal training per Title 16 of the California Code of Regulations section 1366.3 (a)(2), in a secondary, postsecondary, or adult education program in a public school authorized by the Department of Education, in a community college program, or a postsecondary institution accredited by an accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 5 years of clinical experience
Qualifications
- National Medical Assistant Certification (preferred)
- Electronic medical record experience (preferred)

Pay
The pay range for this position is $32.46 - $49.67 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
