Lead Medical Assistant
About the role
The Lead Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. They are responsible for both administrative duties and direct patient care. This role involves assuming ownership and leading advanced and specialized administrative, operational, and customer support tasks requiring independent initiative and judgment.
Responsibilities
- Discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs
- Medication and vaccine administration
- Phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Performing diagnostic screening tests
- Maintaining examination rooms and cleaning equipment
- Documenting information into the electronic medical records system
- Collaborating with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers
Requirements
- Must be certified or registered
- Experience with phlebotomy
- Experience with medication/vaccine administration
- At least 3 years of Medical Assistant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certified
Preferred
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience in a PCO center
- Value-Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $48,300 - $65,900 per year
