Lead Medical Assistant

About the role

Full-time Lead Medical Assistant position at our Paoli, PA office. This role is eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms, take vital signs and basic health history, update EMR
• Perform EKGs
• Manage the prescription refill voicemail line
• Make patient phone calls to confirm appointments, report testing results, and answer healthcare questions
• Perform stress testing, Holter monitoring, ambucor, warfarin monitoring, and other testing under physician guidance
• Perform most, if not all, level III Medical Assistant responsibilities
• Assist in hiring, training, and reviewing performance of staff
• Coordinate day-to-day workflows of the department
• Develop and oversee department schedules
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures

Requirements

• Certified or registered Medical Assistant
• BLS certification required
• At least 2-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Familiarity with cardiology-related procedures such as stress tests, managing Coumadin therapy, Holter monitors, etc.
• Ability to multitask
• Computer knowledge is required; experience with an EMR system is a plus
• Well-spoken, friendly, and outgoing

The $500 sign-on bonus will be paid no later than 30 days following your start date, provided your employment is in good standing. If you voluntarily terminate employment or are terminated for cause within 6 months of hire, you will be required to repay the full bonus amount.
