About the role

The Lead Mechanical Technician - Manufacturing & Installation plays a crucial role in the design, assembly, and installation of custom mechanical systems. This position involves hands-on work in both the shop and at customer sites, managing projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, working side-by-side with your team while coordinating efforts with engineers and project managers.
  • Tackle a wide variety of projects, including electromechanical equipment, robotics, custom structures, and workstations.
  • Oversee assembly, troubleshooting, prototyping, and light fabrication in shop and field settings.
  • Lead and oversee projects and teams.
  • Install structural steel, columns, supports, and various conduit and pipe types.
  • Assist Project Managers and others in gathering information for quotes and bids.
  • Identify potential issues and opportunities for change orders and communicate with Project Managers and other Engineering personnel.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and documentation for custom machines, systems, and products and red-line as necessary.
  • Aid in the oversight and scheduling of training and development of Mechanical Technicians.
  • Schedule personnel to meet project needs and enhance individual skillsets.

Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in a role requiring industrial mechanical applications and installations.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role overseeing both projects and small groups of people.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Possess basic welding certifications and ability to pass a weld test.
  • Proficient with the selection and use of hand and power tools and equipment.

Pay

USD $30.00/Hr. USD $34.00/Hr.
