About the role

This position is available for a Lead Aircraft Interior Technician at West Star Aviation. The role involves leading a team in the installation, modification, repair, refurbishment, and fabrication of aircraft interior components. It also includes performing quality checks, supervising, and assigning personnel on daily activities, preparing and delivering annual performance evaluations, assisting with engineering designs for major modification projects, and completely removing, repairing, and modifying aircraft interior components.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the team to complete necessary jobs/tasks
  • Using good judgment in handling day-to-day tasks
  • Knowing when to involve your manager or team leader
  • Independently managing installations by communicating with the Interior Team Leader and various departmental staff
  • Performing quality checks, supervising, and assigning personnel on daily activities
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring team members to develop the job knowledge and performance of installation technicians
  • Preparing and delivering annual performance evaluations for assigned team members
  • Assisting with engineering designs for major modification projects
  • Completing daily turnover sheets
  • Effectively and clearly communicating (i.e., speaking, writing, reading) in English

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of supervisory training classes is preferred
  • 8+ Years on aircraft, auto, RV, or Marine interior's
  • Exclusive knowledge in all areas of the position
  • The ability to evaluate and adjust modifications is essential
  • The ability to train and maintain workflow
  • The ability to work independently on projects when required
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common
  • The ability to perform in a professional manner
  • The ability to read and comprehend various documents
  • The ability to plan and organize procedures and operations
  • The ability to understand and implement regulations and guidelines, including but not limited to OSHA, Hazmat, etc.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $38.00 - $45.00. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.

Schedule

Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday (every other Wednesday)

Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
