Responsibilities
- Reading blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the placement of outlets and fixtures.
- Installing wiring, outlets, and controls.
- Maintenance of electrical systems.
- Inspecting transformers and circuit breakers to ensure they are up to code.
- Identifying electrical problems using specialized tools like voltmeters, cable testers.
- Repairing and replacing wiring and equipment using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wire strippers, and conduit breakers.
- Directing and training fellow workers to install, maintain, and repair wiring and systems.
- Bending conduit, troubleshooting faults in wiring / defective light fixtures + devices, panel upgrades.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician in a similar role.
- OSHA 30 hours.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments.
- High school diploma: relevant technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Must have own basic tools and equipment necessary for the job.
- Clean driver's license.
- Spanish / English (Bilingual) a plus.
