Responsibilities
- Conducting basic to moderately complex diagnostic, troubleshooting, and service and repair tasks for fuel, electrical, mechanical, brake, and cooling and hydraulic systems on a wide range of equipment.
- Conducting routine and preventative maintenance tasks (oil and filter changes, lubrication, brake, etc.) on all Heavy Equipment per manufacturer and SA Recycling recommendations.
- Maintaining accurate service records on all work performed.
- Assists in the order and maintain spare parts inventory.
- Interacts with yard General Managers to schedule routine or emergency maintenance or repairs.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly working area.
- Safe and proper use of assigned vehicles, equipment, and tools.
- Performs all tasks fully within SA Recycling’s Safety and Environmental practices and procedures.
Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical degree highly desired.
- Hydraulic, electrical, and diesel maintenance experience highly desired.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
- Must be willing to complete, and successfully pass a drug screen, physical and background check.
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
- Must pass Background check
- Must pass Physical and Drug screen
- Able to carry out instructions provided in written or oral form.
- Able to learn new tasks as assigned required.
- Able to communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demands.
