About the role
This role assists in leading the day-to-day activities of the department operations in a retail store. Responsibilities include training associates, ensuring full staffing, meeting company standards, and achieving financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Order and maintain inventory in the department, following inventory control procedures.
- Cut and weigh steaks, chops, etc., for individual servings.
- Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count or weight, condition, and proper storage.
- Aid in managing a team to complete stocking, production, and other tasks, ensuring product quality, production planning, accuracy, and date-sensitive rotation.
- Maintain familiarity with all products in the department and throughout the store.
- Communicate and execute weekly and period Flight Plans to company expectations and timeline.
- Manage scheduling, labor control, overtime control, and payroll expenses for the department.
- Implement the Winning Recipe and model core values and competencies.
- Develop and monitor department forecasts as required.
- Attend and participate in daily huddles.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department, adhering to structure of the day guidelines and Prime Time standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines and take immediate corrective action if not followed.
- Develop and implement plans to meet company goals and key performance indicators.
- Follow all personal protective equipment (PPE), safety guidelines, food safety expectations, and guest experience guidelines.
- May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Suggestive selling/knowledge of products preferred.
- Detail-oriented.
- Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.).
