Meat Lead

About the role

This role assists in leading the day-to-day activities of the department operations in a retail store, ensuring associates are trained, the department is fully staffed, operating at company standards, and meeting all company goals and key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

  • Order and maintain inventory in your department, utilizing inventory control procedures to ensure product freshness and quality.
  • Cut and weigh steaks, chops, etc. for individual servings.
  • Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count or weight, condition, and ensure all product is stored in appropriate areas.
  • Absorb and execute the weekly and period Flight Plan to company expectations and timeline.
  • Implement Our Winning Recipe, model core values and competencies, and develop and monitor department forecasts as required.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department by following structure of the day guidelines and “Prime Time” standards.
  • Ensure adherence to all food safety guidelines and requirements.
  • Attend and participate in daily huddles.
  • Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines, Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations, and Guest Experience Guidelines.
  • May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products preferred.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Bending, stooping, twisting, and turning frequently.
  • Exposure to varied temperatures and outside weather conditions.
  • Subject to noise levels in the work environment.
