Lead Maintenance Technician - The Valley Townhomes

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition while building relationships with service staff, residents, and vendors. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy by making necessary repairs.
- Complete work orders in occupied homes while providing fast, friendly service.
- Assist in organizing and assigning service work orders at the Maintenance Supervisor's direction.
- Follow preventive maintenance guidelines.
- Maintain property grounds, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and other service requests.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve property goals and follow safety procedures.
- Maintain inventory, company logs, orderliness, and safety of tools, equipment, supplies, and the maintenance shop.
- Mentor and train other grounds and maintenance technicians at the Maintenance Supervisor's direction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Facilities maintenance background required; 1-2 years of similar experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License with valid vehicle insurance.
- EPA Certification highly preferred.
- Experience with pools highly preferred; CPO certification a plus.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work well on a team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be available after hours and weekends for on-call responsibilities (rotated schedule) and snow removal.
