Lead Maintenance Technician - The Valley Townhomes

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition while building relationships with service staff, residents, and vendors. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy by making necessary repairs.
• Complete work orders in occupied homes while providing fast, friendly service.
• Assist in organizing and assigning service work orders at the Maintenance Supervisor's direction.
• Follow preventive maintenance guidelines.
• Maintain property grounds, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and other service requests.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve property goals and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain inventory, company logs, orderliness, and safety of tools, equipment, supplies, and the maintenance shop.
• Mentor and train other grounds and maintenance technicians at the Maintenance Supervisor's direction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Facilities maintenance background required; 1-2 years of similar experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with valid vehicle insurance.
• EPA Certification highly preferred.
• Experience with pools highly preferred; CPO certification a plus.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work well on a team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must be available after hours and weekends for on-call responsibilities (rotated schedule) and snow removal.
