Lead Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking an hourly 2nd shift Lead Maintenance Technician and Leadhand for our growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Suwanee, GA. This role will act as a Shift Lead and Leadhand for the 2nd shift Maintenance Team.

Responsibilities

• General Maintenance experience including reading and interpreting drawings and written instructions.
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment in the manufacturing process.
• Suggest and execute countermeasures to repair or prevent future downtime when possible.
• Use most measuring instruments proficiently.
• Work closely with Maintenance Manager and Safety Manager to assist in auditing equipment.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities as needed.
• Operate fork trucks, scissor lifts, and boom lifts (experience recommended).
• Modify equipment, carts, tools, or anything pertaining to manufacturing as needed.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with Preventative Maintenance activities and general clean-up.
• Read and speak English fluently.
• Maintain proper documentation of work (work orders, PM check sheets, usage of parts).
• Lift 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Available for Monday through Friday shift work and overtime as needed.
• Demonstrate leadership skills to plan work within a work cell and direct team members efficiently, on schedule, and with high quality.
• Ensure procedures are properly followed in the work cell.
• Train new and existing employees in quality, safety, and productivity.
• Recognize safety hazards and unsafe behaviors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Highly experienced in maintenance with the ability to plan and perform repair and maintenance of building structures and plant equipment without direction.
• Proficient in reading electrical prints, hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficient in sourcing information to complete jobs.
• Knowledge and understanding of 5S and lean manufacturing.
• Machining and welding experience is a plus.
