Lead Maintenance Technician

About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Lead Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team within our Ypsilanti Plant at 775 James L Hart Parkway.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations during the first (1st.) shift
• Lead a team of technicians through their daily assignments and tasks
• Ensure facilities and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OEM guidelines for equipment care and maintenance
• Sustain a proactive approach toward PM compliance, Planned Work Order Execution, and the continuous improvement drive toward sustainable reliability centered maintenance
• Ensure systems and equipment continue to operate as required in their current operating context
• Focus on and identify critical functions, potential failures of devices, assemblies, and systems
• Assist with determining the most effective maintenance strategies to prevent or mitigate failures
• Coordinate daily/weekly/monthly planning of scheduled maintenance activities

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in the industrial maintenance field
• Good to Excellent Ability and Skill Levels with:
• Understanding of Automation
• Electrical Systems, both equipment and facility

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in Lighting, Plumbing, HVAC, Compressed Air, and Electrical Distribution systems
