About the role
The Lead Maintenance Technician supervises the maintenance team and oversees work orders and repairs at the Glenn Perimeter community. Responsibilities include prioritizing and scheduling projects, completing maintenance service requests and work orders, and handling after-hours emergency calls.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize and schedule projects and staff for timely completion of projects
- Complete maintenance service requests and work orders including HVAC, electrical, pool maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping items
- Turn vacant apartments for move-in in a timely and efficient manner
- Work safely and keep an eye on budget
- Maintain the highest level of professionalism and customer service to residents, vendors, and guests
- Handle after-hours emergency calls and be on-call, as needed, including nights and weekends
Requirements
- Previous experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors
- Own hand tools to carry out job functions, other power tools will be provided
- Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the on-call responsibility
- May require travel to assist other properties or attend training classes
- Prior experience managing a team is strongly preferred
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and climb, bend, and squat
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions
- May be required to operate a golf cart on the property
