Lead Maintenance Technician

About the role

Avalon Apartments is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance and functionality of their 81-unit residential apartment community. The position involves a wide range of tasks including painting, HVAC installations, landscaping, and more.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, schedule, and inspect work being performed by the maintenance staff
• Maintain a clean and organized shop and manage inventory
• Obtain bids on special projects
• Work with the property manager to maintain the supply budget
• Perform maintenance of general maintenance including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (e.g., fix locks, replace windows)
• Appliance repair and troubleshooting
• Conduct general upkeep procedures
• Be on-call as assigned by the property manager

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Good physical condition and strength
• HVAC Certification #OKIND

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. A background check and drug screening may be required.

Pay

$25.00 per hour, subject to adjustment for onsite living.

Schedule
