About the role
The Lead Maintenance Technician assists the Manager in leading the daily maintenance operations for a multi-family residential property for a defined sector. They perform or assign general, advanced, or specialized maintenance functions depending on property needs and are responsible for performing maintenance of assigned properties in a cost-effective, timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain long-term relationships with residents by addressing and responding to requests, questions, and concerns, making referrals to manager or site/property team members as appropriate.
- May assist in the larger general, advanced, or specialized technical repairs (drywall, appliances, vandalism issues).
- Supports the initial and on-going training of all new maintenance technicians.
- Ensure the attractive internal and external appearance of all buildings and grounds, which may include removing debris and weeds, and reporting maintenance needs.
- May assist in the preventative and non-routine maintenance for facilities, including seasonal checklists, roof inspections, city inspections, boiler maintenance, opening and closing of pools, HVAC, large plumbing, electrical and roof maintenance, and repairs.
- Operate common office equipment, basic computer skills, and work order management.
- Understand and follow all OSHA and our company safety standards for work you perform.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and meet company insurability requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Equivalent education with one to two years’ related experience and/or training preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, without direct authority, to achieve consistent high-level results.
- Ability to communicate and influence work direction to multiple site Maintenance Technicians.
- Demonstrated support for Goldmark maintenance procedures and policies.
- Effective interpersonal, communication and listening skills with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people.
Qualifications
- Should be an experienced Maintenance Technician who has demonstrated outstanding mentoring, coaching and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency and quality of advanced maintenance skills.
- Must have valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and meet company insurability requirements.
- Proficiency of the English language in reading, writing and verbal communication.

Pay
$30 per hour, with potential to earn up to $5.21 more per hour with incentives.
Schedule
Hourly schedule, with flexibility to travel to all properties within assigned sector.
