About the role

This position involves managing operational quality control tasks, ensuring compliance with manuals, regulations, and customer programs. Key responsibilities include reviewing technician assignments, conducting spot checks, and communicating with tech support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technician assignments and sign-offs to ensure adherence to Roster Authorizations and Repair Station Authorizations.
  • Perform front-line spot checks of maintenance activity to verify compliance with AMM, RSQCM, and customer guidelines.
  • Run/taxi qualification of techs, verify squawk completion, and conduct operational checks.
  • Verify MEL procedures and communicate with tech support regarding customer MEL procedures.
  • Final walk-around and release of aircraft, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Advise customers via email about aircraft release from West Star Aviation custody.
  • Ensure proper tagging, inspection, and identification of parts and components.
  • Review and reject non-compliant items and work, hold release if unsatisfactory conditions are identified, and implement corrective actions.
  • Communicate effectively in English and handle other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License or Repairman Certificate.
  • A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport (ideal but not mandatory).
  • Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations with part 43.
  • Proficient in using various inspection equipment and visual inspection aids.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to perform work according to FAA guidelines.
  • Ability to input and retrieve information from computers and use Apple and Microsoft products.
  • Experience with Apple and Microsoft products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Able to travel to various locations and work in different weather conditions.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of regulatory and guideline implementation.
  • Troubleshooting and evaluation of system operation.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and supervise team members.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $38.00 - $46.00. Additional compensation includes a shift differential and a semi-annual discretionary bonus.

Schedule

Weekly competitive and industry-leading pay means you are paid more often. Flexible work schedules are available including 5x8, 4x10, and 3x12.
