About the role
Operate stretch blow molding machines and lift equipment, inspect and pack rigid-plastic PET containers, and perform scheduled charting and inspections on machines and associated equipment.
Responsibilities
- Start and stop stretch blow molding machines to produce quality, rigid-plastic containers.
- Perform routine inspections, cleaning & lubricating and/or tightening of machine assembles.
- Inspect containers using test equipment, statistical quality methods & visual inspection techniques.
- Pack containers into boxes/cartons at designated production-line speeds according to specifications & stack packed cartons to build 4 ft. high units.
- Safely operate lift trucks to move materials.
- Perform as a responsible team member to maintain a clean, safe, and effective work environment.
- Operate stretch blow molding machines, pull seepage, apply SPC methodologies for initiating machine adjustments, change materials, assist in changeovers and identify start and stop of out-of-spec production (held ware).
- Maintain and adhere to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.
- Adhere to Food Safety Compliance.
- Support and investigate situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk.
- Complete responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
- Delegate daily work assignments, schedule breaks and assist in relieving operators, monitor production schedule for upcoming machine/order changes, verify raw materials are in the facility before needed, verify completion of production paperwork before submitted, schedule overtime when necessary using seniority as a tool, manage employees and administer disciplinary actions when necessary, enter production and downtime accurately in WebEff database, follow all Safety, Food Safety, GMP and HACCP practices, actively lead risk assessment activities for their area of responsibility by driving prioritized corrective and preventive actions to eliminate/reduce environmental, health or safety risks, lead all required meetings with safety (i.e. Pre-shift, Department, Change Management, General communication, Town Hall, etc.), complete incident investigations, root cause analysis and implement corrective actions accordingly in a timely and thorough manner, ensure the proper training and development of all assigned employees for whom they are responsible, set goals for their organizational unit; achieve goals and ensure that all employees understand and work toward achieving goals, motivate and coach employees through good communication and frequent performance feedback, identify and coordinate additional training as needed.

- Compensation: $24.00–$27.00 hourly, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Pay
$24.00–$27.00 hourly, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
Schedule
Work just 15 days a month with a rotating schedule: work Monday & Tuesday, off Wednesday & Thursday, work Friday, Saturday & Sunday, off Monday & Tuesday, work Wednesday & Thursday, off Friday Saturday & Sunday then the schedule starts over.
