Lead LPN - Pre-op Evaluation Center

About the role

Provides nursing support to the physician and provides direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting.

Core duties and responsibilities

  • Assigns duties and coordinates clinical services in absence of clinical manager.
  • Captures and communicates patient data to the physician.
  • Assists with scheduling and patient flow.
  • Coordinates ambulatory nursing care.
  • Ensures staffing and patient needs are met.
  • Performs direct nursing care duties within the scope of practice.
  • Trains and coaches LPN staff.

Physical requirements

  • Heavy/Hard work: Lifting, moving, stooping, reaching, positioning of patients, standing, walking; carrying of patients, materials and equipment weighing 40+lbs.
  • Frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, toxins, and chemicals.

Skills and abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Skilled with computer systems used by physician offices and hospitals.
  • Able to work under highly stressful conditions and adapt to varying workloads.
  • Ability to function as a team member in respect to organization, communication, and task prioritization.
  • Works weekends, holidays, and all shifts.
