Lead LPN-Cardiology

About the role

We're looking for a dedicated Lead LPN to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers direct care to patients with maximum attention to the comfort and satisfaction needs of patients.
  • Assists in procedures and injection administration.
  • Provides patient safety through preventive measures (e.g. two patient identities, fall prevention).
  • Oversee LPNs and Medical Assistants.
  • Creates schedules for the LPNs, Lab specialists and Medical Assistants.
  • Covers daily schedule including sick calls ins, breaks and provider assignments.
  • Covers team huddles as needed.
  • Serves as a resource to Physicians, Advanced Practice Professionals and support team inside as well as outside the practice.
  • Promotes a culture of safety for patients, self, co-workers, and organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience in an outpatient clinical setting preferred.
  • NYS LPN license Required.

  • Skills, Abilities And Attributes: Ability to organize and establish day-to-day priorities while utilizing critical thinking skills in all aspects of the job. Must be able to multitask while remaining professional, focused, composed and positive. Excellent customer service skills and must display integrity, friendliness and compassion. Must be able to establish an appropriate and effective rapport with patients, co-workers and medical staff. Effective interpersonal communication and telephone skills. Must have basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Ability to take and follow direction in a positive and appropriate manner. Must be efficient and effective in the use of resources. Proficient in use of computer for e-mail and electronic medical record as appropriate. Negotiation and conflict resolution. Performance evaluation Process improvement Practice Innovation Resilient and flexible in a changing environment Systems for patient safety Technology/informatics Functions effectively under stressful and difficult situations. Ability to work effectively with the team.

Pay

$26.19—$44.31/hour based on experience and qualifications
