Lead Locksmith

Responsibilities

• Pursues projects under the supervision of supervisor.
• Leads employees in maintenance, repair, and installation of door hardware, keys, and locks.
• Researches, works on, or has access to critical infrastructure.
• Assists supervisor in developing work schedules, conducting performance reviews, and interviewing job applicants.
• Provides technical direction to locksmiths and locksmith helpers.
• Performs the duties of a locksmith as needed.
• Assists supervisor in overall supervision of the shop and acts as supervisor during absence.
• Operates necessary equipment and tools such as: key cutting machine, engraving machine, and power tools.
• Fabricates parts that are not available for locks, door closures, and other hardware, as needed.
• Serves on special task forces during periods of emergency.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Three (3) years of directly job-related experience
• Valid Texas Driver's License

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and simple mathematical functions.
