Schedule
- Full time
- Shift: Day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, will move to four 10-hour shifts)
Location: 2600 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Wesley Chapel, Florida 33544
Responsibilities
- Supports scheduling of personnel to provide adequate coverage during all hours of operation, using flexible staffing when appropriate.
- Promotes a positive patient experience by ensuring service excellence, effective communication, and the delivery of timely, high-quality care by the team.
- Performs team member orientation, training, and coaching, and provides input for performance evaluations.
- Serves as a resource to department staff and other team members as needed.
- Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Positions patients and equipment appropriately, and operates fluoroscopy and imaging systems to capture high-quality, real-time images for accurate guidance.
- Prepares and administers contrast agents as directed, following safety protocols and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Participates in time-out and procedural verification processes, ensuring correct patient identification, procedure, and site.
- Supports inventory and supply management, including checking expiration dates, stocking of supplies, and notifying appropriate personnel of shortages.
- Performs complex diagnostic and interventional procedures under the direction of a radiologist.
- Prepares and maintains a sterile field, ensuring proper technique and adherence to infection control standards throughout procedures.
- Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care.
- Ensures quality in imaging, patient care, and workflow.
- Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist's scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patients, and using proper infection control techniques.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
- Operates and maintains equipment safely, properly wears dosimeter badge, and minimizes radiation exposure.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent (Required)
- Associate Degree (Preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- 3+ years of experience (Preferred)
Qualifications
- Registered Radiology Technologist RT(R)(ARRT) (Required)
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) (Preferred)
Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state.
Pay
$28.68 - $53.35 per hour
