Lead Integrator

As an Expert Lead Integrator, you will support an exciting National Security mission to position NGA as the enterprise and community GEOINT data provider, improving how analysts, customers, and end users access, discover, stage, link, produce, re-integrate, and deliver intelligence. You will work with talented developers and colleagues, gaining exposure to industry best practices such as AWS cloud solutions, continuous integration/delivery, infrastructure as code, and automation of testing and deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies cross-team dependencies; works with Government Product Owners for SRB, CRB, and ORB processes; and ensures teams deliver capabilities that add mission value.
  • Acts as a trusted liaison between Government Product Managers and Lead Developers to ensure end-to-end capabilities are seamlessly integrated and interoperable.
  • Manages projects to ensure timely production of quality products aligned to requirements.
  • Collects, analyzes, and suggests short-term and long-term budgetary activities.
  • Tests software functionality and design concepts.
  • Engages in working groups to streamline costs, determine risks and gaps, and offer strategic support.
  • Evaluates and analyzes high-profile projects.
  • Oversees project performance to identify areas requiring adjustments, such as portfolio rebalancing.
  • Interfaces with Government engineering and senior management teams.
  • Works closely with third-party vendors/service providers on upgrading applications and production support issues.
  • Provides end-to-end project management support across the lifecycle.
  • Maps resources to projects to provide management insight into resource utilization.
  • Applies program management principles to improve project implementation, reporting, and internal metrics.
  • Oversees and performs change management activities.
  • Provides expert counseling and support to the development team on construction and maintenance of robust, secure, and efficient applications.
  • Researches emerging technologies to determine if installation can increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepares cost-benefit analyses for decision-making on IT systems and computing infrastructure efficiencies.
  • Devises ways to add new functionality to existing technical systems and architectures.
  • Designs and implements new systems by choosing and configuring software.
  • Oversees the installation and configuration of new software and capabilities.
  • Conducts testing to ensure systems work as expected.
  • Trains system end users and writes instruction manuals.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years’ experience with API development, AWS services (S3, DIODE, SNS/SQS, SDK development, CloudFormation), Apache NiFi, ElasticSearch, PKI, Terraform, Jenkins/GitLab CI, Containerization (e.g., Docker), and basic shell programming and system administration.
  • At least 7 years’ experience with Integrator skill sets: automated testing tools such as Cucumber, Pact, JMeter, Elastic Logstash Kibana (ELK) framework, understanding of ICD503 A&A controls, AWS Lambda, Ansible/Salt, PCF, Kong.
  • Applicable software/hardware/management training and certification (e.g., Amazon Web Services architect/engineering).
  • Strong AWS skills with experience in implementing and managing AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
  • Minimum education: Master’s degree plus 4 years’ experience, Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years’ experience, Associate’s degree plus 12 years’ experience, or a minimum of 15 years’ experience in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GIS tools such as ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of system integration principles and practices, including API integration, data integration, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).

Pay

US $180,000 - $220,000
