Lead Intake Specialist, Infusion Clinics

About the role

The Lead Intake Specialist, Infusion Clinics will function as a key member of our intake team and will be accountable for performing various administrative duties supporting our patients, intake team and communicating with cross-functional departments. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working in a team setting, be well organized, have excellent communication skills, and display a strong drive for continuous improvement, challenging the status quo, and meeting specific patient intake and referral goals.

Responsibilities

• Engages with patient, referral source and clinical team to coordinate start to finish process of getting a patient treated
• Collaborates with leadership team to provide ideas, suggestions, identify areas of opportunity and improvement
• Responsible for team education and resolution of issues related to the patient onboarding process
• Creates, communicates, and helps to obtain all required documentation for new and existing referrals
• Supports the ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims
• Lead benefit verification, prior authorization, pre-collections, copay assistance and financial review process within EMR
• Champion of EMR enhancements and implementation applicable to the intake team
• Interviews, assists with hire process, and trains employees
• Lead weekly check-ins with intake specialists and front desk coordinators to support and guide improvement
• Assists leadership team to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience
• Preauthorization experience
• Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time
• Ability to work in a fast past environment
• Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus
• High degree of customer service skills
• Ability to trouble shoot, problem solve and collaborate with cross-functional team members across sales and operation functions
• Must be willing to travel, if needed, to provide training to other team members located at the other infusion clinics

Qualifications

• Leadership experience preferred
• Infusion Intake experience preferred

Pay

Pay range is $19.40-$32.33. Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
