About the role
The Lead Infant Teacher position at Children's Land is dedicated to nurturing the youngest members of our community. This role requires a passionate individual who can foster a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for infants.
Responsibilities
- Create and follow lesson plans that foster physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.
- Track infants' developmental milestones and maintain detailed records of their progress.
- Offer nurturing care, including feeding, changing diapers, and facilitating nap times.
- Always uphold the safety of infants by strictly adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic classroom environment to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.
- Communicate with parents to keep them informed about their child's development and address any concerns.
- Work harmoniously with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and cooperative working environment.
- Craft and utilize educational materials to stimulate infants' senses and encourage learning.
- Organize activities that promote exploration and the development of motor skills.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in infant education and care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Previous experience working with infants or young children.
- Knowledge of DCFS requirements in Illinois.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and a genuine love for working with infants.
