Responsibilities

  • Model factory operations by generating process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show production processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key performance indicators
  • Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints
  • Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce undesirable effects, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals
  • Influence factory roadmaps and investment strategies by drafting infrastructure improvement and expansion proposals, and planning the integration of new products, technologies, and equipment that create a competitive advantage
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects that address obsolescence, improve factory performance, and promote growth
  • Support new production contract/new product proposals and new product integration efforts
  • Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Preferred Additional Skills: Degree such as Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Supply Chain Management, Strong oral and written communication skills to include experience creating and facilitating presentations and writing technical reports, Experience/Education with factory layout and work cell design/optimization, Experience/Education with simulation modeling and capacity analysis tools/methods preferably Siemens PlantSim, Experience/Education with project management, Experience with CAD Software, Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action process, Proficiency in Lean Principles, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints methodologies and tools, Change management skills – a self-motivated change agent with bias for action and a sense of urgency, How to influence and lead others working with high-performing cross functional teams and frontline operators and specialists who assemble, test, and deliver our products everyday, Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, Experience using Microsoft Office products as well as PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, Python
