Lead Implementation Specialist

About the role
The Lead Implementation Specialist is a subject matter expert in one or more of FactSet’s products, tasked with deploying FactSet’s solutions by delivering high-value projects and engagements. This role requires the ability to independently implement many workflows and contribute to the department’s leadership team with decision-making in areas of expertise. Lead Implementation Specialists may also be involved in the pre-sales solutioning process to ensure successful engagements and collaborate with or mentor junior team members.
Implementation Specialists work on project-based initiatives, including implementations, solutions optimization, and other knowledge-intensive projects. They may lead larger, more complex engagements and serve as mentors for junior team members. The Implementations team partners with clients to support organizational changes, drive enterprise deployments, manage restructures, and implement process improvements using core analytics tools such as PA (Portfolio Analysis), SPAR, Portfolio Vault & Insight, Portfolio Batcher, Publisher, and Analytics APIs.
Responsibilities
- Provide product (functional and technical) guidance on solutioning processes based on customer needs.
- Communicate effectively with sophisticated users via a strong understanding of investment principles and their industry application.
- Create user workflow specifications, custom report specifications, and establish priorities for technical integration staff on client requirements.
- Identify growth strategies by analyzing client organizational structures and uncovering additional opportunities during implementation.
- Study client workflows and partner with Product Development and Engineering to enhance FactSet’s products.
- Provide user training and support the development of training programs.
- Produce client-facing communication to facilitate the transition from implementation to support.
- Implement new and enhance existing deployments to improve user experience and enable sales opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
- At least 6 years of experience working with FactSet’s Analytics tools.
- Strong knowledge of performance workflows.
- Strong technical background, particularly with writing complex screening codes.
- Understanding of how clients use FactSet Analytics and Performance Solutions products.
- CFA, CIPM, CAPM, FRM, MBA, or other industry certifications (preferred).
- Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture.
- Enthusiastic with a keen sense of initiative and a desire to take ownership.
- Willingness to travel.
Job location: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Norwalk, San Francisco, Toronto, CAD. Working Environment: Hybrid. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Pay
The budgeted salary range for this position in New York City, Connecticut, and California is $120,000–$150,000. The budgeted range for this position in Toronto is $120,000–$160,000 CAD. Salary is based on factors including education, work experience, and certifications and may differ in other locations or countries.
