Job Summary

About the role

Responsible for servicing and maintaining airport HVAC systems for the Charleston Regional Aviation Authority (CRAA).

Responsibilities

  • Performs weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual PM on HVAC equipment.
  • Leads and coordinates daily work activities of assigned crew or co-workers.
  • Conducts regular inspections of all HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, spit systems, and window units.
  • Trains and instructs co-workers regarding operational procedures and proper use of equipment.
  • Maintains ice machines and CRAA compressors.
  • Coordinates material supply fulfillment and collaborates with supply warehouse.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates HVAC system projects.
  • Collaborates with other system specialists and outside contractors.
  • Processes a variety of documentation associated with department/division operations.
  • Operates or uses various equipment, power tools, hand tools, and supplies to complete work assignments.
  • Performs preventative maintenance, including service, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Requirements

  • To perform work:
  • Associate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a related field of work.
  • Equivalent training, education, and/or experience.
  • Valid South Carolina driver’s license.
