About the role
We are seeking a Lead HVAC Installer to join our team. This position is ideal for a skilled professional who enjoys hands-on work, takes ownership of projects, and is committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial applications.
- Install, modify, and design duct systems for optimal comfort and efficiency.
- Install copper refrigerant lines, including brazing and soldering.
- Complete low-voltage and line-voltage wiring for HVAC equipment.
- Connect gas lines to heating equipment safely and according to code requirements.
- Install flex duct and sheet metal duct systems.
- Lead installation crews on assigned projects.
- Provide training, coaching, and technical guidance to HVAC Installers and Helpers.
- Promote safe work practices and quality workmanship.
- Help team members develop installation skills and industry knowledge.
- Support other team members as needed to ensure successful project completion.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience.
- Experience installing: Heat pumps, Air handlers, Furnaces, Residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
- Experience with 120V and 240V electrical installations.
- Experience designing and installing ductwork systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to read and interpret installation specifications and technical documents.
- Valid California Driver's License pursuant to company policy.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must possess personal HVAC hand tools.
- Able to safely lift and move equipment up to 100 pounds.
- Able to climb ladders, work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and confined spaces.
- Preferred: EPA Certification, NATE Certification (or successful completion of at least one NATE exam), Insulation installation experience, Experience leading installation crews.
