About the role
Residential HVAC Installers are responsible for bringing heating and cooling systems to life in homes. Your precision and craftsmanship will ensure that systems operate smoothly year-round.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive customer experience by completing installations correctly the first time, adhering to applicable codes to avoid refunds and recalls.
- Mentor and develop lead installers and apprentices into install team lead technicians.
- Install HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications, wire high and low voltage, solder and braze copper refrigerant lines, and install sheet metal, duct board, and flex duct systems.
- Connect gas lines to heating equipment, complete required documentation, and record all material used on the job for job costing and replenishment.
- Issue "Lock Out/Tag Out" tags and follow up on required steps, properly account for assigned tools, and maintain a clean, stocked, and accurately inventoried truck.
- Coordinate with dispatch to reschedule follow-up appointments, communicate the benefits of Club Memberships, manage performance metrics, and investigate and report any safety issues.
- Support supervisors and managers as needed, and report any safety issues to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- EPA Certified
- Pass drug testing and background checks
- Completed some sort of HVAC training and/or trade school
- A minimum of three years' experience preferred but not required with manager's approval in installing diverse HVAC equipment
- Valid driver's license and approved to drive by Company's insurance carrier
- Highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through
- Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals
- Team player working in a team environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a desire to exceed customer expectations
- Able to use a computer tablet, smart phone, and read a map or follow GPS
Qualifications
