Lead Housekeeper - Flex

NATURE OF WORK

The Lead Housekeeper oversees the coordination of daily work orders assigned to the team and is directly responsible for promoting a clean and efficient process for the assigned account. In this role you will be active in completing daily tasks and motivating your team members to meet the cleaning expectations of the property. You will help facilitate communication between the Housekeeper Supervisors and staff.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Directly responsible to ensure the client's requests are assigned to personnel and completed in a timely manner daily
• Provides support to the work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure a clean environment
• Leads workers to ensure their duties and tasks are completed timely and to standards of cleanliness
• Must manage various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc.
• Assists with issuing supplies and equipment to workers
• Evaluates feedback regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and coordinates with supervisor to take corrective action
• Attends training classes to develop housekeeping techniques and procedures, and to enhance leadership skills
• Records data concerning work assignments, personnel actions, and timecards, and prepares periodic reports
• Attends periodic staff meetings with other department heads to discuss company policies and patrons' feedback, and to make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation
• Performs additional duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic reading, writing, and some arithmetic skills may be required
• Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prepare and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, our clients, and the public
• Proficient with computer skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 1-year previous lead experience
• Bi-lingual in English & Spanish, or English & Creole
• Valid Florida Driver’s license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• This position demands good physical and mental health
• The housekeeper supervisor will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and work a flexible schedule
• Must be able to move continuously during work hours
• Must be able to lift and/or carry 30 to 45 pounds

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

• General supervision is received from an account supervisor and/or manager who confers on difficult problems and reviews completed work for quality of professional results. Tasks are usually performed under little direct supervision allowing use of independent judgment

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

• Team Leader of housekeepers and floor technicians
