Essential Functions

  • Maintains endoscope fleet and tracks repairs
  • Ensures that all supplies are ordered and stocked in all procedure rooms
  • Builds technicians schedules and daily assignments
  • Orients and mentors new staff
  • Orders and stocks patient nutrition

Education & Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 1-3 years experience in a GI Lab procedural setting required.
  • 1-3 years experience with high-level disinfection of endoscopes required.

Licenses

  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, employees, physicians and the public.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
