Lead Generation Outreach Specialist

About the role

The Lead Generation Outreach Specialist will implement lead generation strategies to meet performance metrics, focusing on specific industries to build competencies and generate qualified meetings for VEDP’s Lead Generation Business Managers.

Responsibilities

• Execute outreach campaigns targeting business development prospects to generate qualified meetings aligned with VEDP’s sector priorities
• Support VEDP’s mission and build awareness of Virginia as a desirable business location by providing accurate information about Virginia business assets and VEDP’s services
• Employ appointment setting and qualification techniques to set up high-quality appointments for Lead Generation Business Managers
• Utilize digital applications, telemarketing, and email techniques to conduct outreach campaigns
• Support direct marketing program with data verification and accurately updating all company and client data
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all call campaigns
• Maintain consistent outreach activity levels, performance standards, and appointment quality that support pipeline and performance goals

Skills

• Experience using lead generation marketing applications such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, CB Insights, and Alpha Sense is preferred
• Highly detail oriented and ability to multi‑task
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work, lead, and generate results and outcomes in time‑sensitive situations
• Ability to work constructively and effectively in a team environment by making positive contributions to the team’s operations, functions, and working relationships
• Demonstrated problem solving capabilities in a business environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a business setting
• Experience working in an economic development environment is a plus
• A valid driver’s license is required

Pay

Salary range: $55,000‑$65,000 per year

Hybrid position based in VEDP’s office in Richmond, Virginia.
