LEAD GENERAL UTILITY (FULL TIME)

Location: Fairhaven Commons Dining Hall at Western Washington University, 453 E College Way, Bellingham, WA 98225

About the role

Assist shift supervisors and department directors in the day-to-day function of the department. Maintain a high level of quality in all aspects of department duties by training, supporting, supervising, and interacting with team members. Ensure that all schedules are assigned and completed daily. Set a positive example for the department through professional interactions with team members, customers, patients, and families. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or director.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail
• Provide assignments and assistance to team members
• Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment in all aspects of job performance
• Relieve shift supervisor in times of absence
• Adjust or cover schedules as needed during times of short staffing
• Ensure team members maintain set standards by conducting quality assurance surveys
• Monitor and report any equipment issues or shortages
• Conduct customer and patient surveys
• Interact with patients/customers in an appropriate manner in relation to age-based competencies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Prior lead and/or supervisory experience in a similar utility role

Pay

$21.63 per hour to $26.58 per hour

Schedule

Full Time; shifts may vary with the needs of the business (details discussed in interview)
