Lead Full Stack Developer

About the Role

Own application architecture and technical roadmap. Define development standards, engineering governance, and best practices. Lead design and implementation of enterprise-grade Java, React, and Python solutions. Drive platform modernization and legacy reduction initiatives. Establish architecture patterns for APIs, microservices, integrations, workflows, and AI-enabled services. Lead cross-functional delivery across multiple teams. Partner with Product Owners, Architects, Risk Leaders, Compliance Leaders, and Technology Executives. Champion AI-assisted development including GitHub Copilot Agent Mode and emerging engineering capabilities. Provide leadership on DevOps, CI/CD, cloud strategy, application resiliency, performance, and security. Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend future-state solutions. Lead critical production issue resolution and strategic planning activities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 10+ years of enterprise Java development experience.
• 5+ years of React development experience.
• Advanced expertise in application design and architecture.
• Extensive experience designing scalable microservices and APIs.
• Expert-level understanding of secure SDLC practices.
• Strong database design, SQL optimization, and performance tuning expertise.
• Advanced CI/CD and DevOps knowledge.
• Proven leadership experience managing large technical initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep expertise with GitHub Copilot Agent Mode and AI-assisted engineering.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized deployments.
• Expertise with messaging and event-driven architectures.
• Experience leading modernization programs within financial services.
• Experience supporting risk management, compliance, regulatory, operational risk, controls, or audit technology platforms.

Pay

$61.97 - 72.00 per hour
