Job Description
Summary: As the Lead Food Beverage Attendant, you play a hands-on role in supporting the daily operations of the front-of-house food service by assisting with team coordination, order accuracy, and service delivery. You act as a working lead, helping to maintain standards, guide team members, and address immediate guest and operational needs. Your ability to lead by example, communicate effectively, and reinforce expectations ensures a productive and guest-focused work environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist with training and serve as a resource to team members to support performance, engagement, and adherence to company standards.
- Serve as a shift lead and escalation point for resolving basic team member or guest concerns, referring complex issues to management as needed.
- Oversee POS system operations, including transaction accuracy, supply levels, and end-of-shift balancing.
- Cook and serve menu items according to recipes and specifications; ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Coordinate FOH inventory including to-go items, bottled sodas, and cutlery, and assist with warehouse ordering.
- Prepare and serve menu items according to recipes and specifications; ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Conduct new hire training, including cashier procedures, comp and cash handling, and recipe standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and dining room areas.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position.
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or cashiering environment required.
- Previous cash handling and guest service experience required.
- Prior experience with POS systems preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to guide and motivate peers in a high-volume or guest-facing environment.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to deliver coaching, relay expectations, and assist in conflict resolution.
- Reliable and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and support shift coordination.
- Flexible to adapt to changing business needs, schedules, and guest volumes.
- Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment.
- Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
- Verify right to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently push/pull up to 50lbs.
- Frequently lift and/or carry up to 50lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels.
- Regularly squat, kneel, reach, bend, twist.
- Occasionally sit and work at a desk or computer.
- Frequently standing and walking.
- Ability to communicate using in-person speech, radios, and telephone.
- Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sound in person.
- Ability to distinguish between shades of color.
- Ability to use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
