Lead Fiber Technician
Responsibilities
- Pull and route fiber optic cable throughout multi-dwelling units (MDUs)
- Install, terminate, and support fiber optic infrastructure
- Aid in CAT5, CAT6, coaxial, and structured cabling installations
- Read and follow installation plans and cable pathways
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with OSHA standards
- Support telecommunications hardware and network connectivity projects

- Wiring and low-voltage installation
Qualifications
- OSHA 10 Certification required
- Previous cabling, telecommunications, or low-voltage experience preferred
- Ability to work in residential apartment complexes and MDU environments
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally as needed
Experience Level
- Helper Technician: Entry Level
- Lead Technician: Prior fiber optic and structured cabling experience required
About the Role
We are hiring two Fiber Optic Technicians to support a statewide initiative providing affordable Wi-Fi access to low-income housing communities throughout Massachusetts. One position will serve as the Lead Technician, while the second will be an Entry-Level Helper/Technician.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
