Lead Fiber Technician

Responsibilities
- Pull, route, and install fiber optic cable
- Aid in the installation of low-voltage and telecommunications infrastructure
- Work with cable pathways, conduits, and telecommunications equipment
- Read and adhere to blueprints, schematics, and installation drawings
- Install, terminate, and test cabling as directed
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Travel between project sites throughout Massachusetts
- Support lead technicians and project teams to ensure successful project completion
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in one or more of the following: Fiber optics, Low-voltage systems, Structured cabling, Electrical work, Telecommunications, Security systems, AV installations, Construction
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to travel to various project locations throughout Massachusetts
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Fiber optic installation experience
- Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, or coax cabling experience
- Telecommunications or ISP experience
- Fire alarm, CCTV, or access control experience
- Electrical apprenticeship or trade school education
- Experience working in apartment complexes or commercial construction environments
