Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, operation, and monitoring of site facilities, utility equipment, and related systems, including boilers, air handling units, DI/RO water systems, chillers, piping, vacuum systems, pneumatics, wastewater treatment plant equipment, electrical systems, and air compressors.
- Ensure all work follows standard work instructions and Shiseido Americas safety principles.
- Support facilities maintenance objectives using appropriate skills, tools, and materials, providing timely updates to the Senior Manager, Facilities on job progress.
- Communicate with plant customers/department representatives to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP), good manufacturing practices (GMP), and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).
- Create and enter completed work orders into the computerized maintenance management system, identifying gaps or corrective actions needed.
- Receive directions and assignments from the Sr. Manager, Facilities and cascade assignments to the Facilities team as needed.
- Assist with coordinating daily project-related work involving outside contractors.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of prior work experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment (cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, or fragrance).
- Certification through trade school or equivalent experience.
- High-Pressure Black Seal Boiler license preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Wastewater N1 or higher license preferred or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire.
- CFC Universal Refrigerant License and HVAC Certification preferred.
- Experience operating building management software, with Carrier i-Vu experience preferred.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining facilities equipment.
- Experience using equipment and tools such as welders, pipe sweating, soldering, HVAC testing, charging, and evacuation.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage time, work schedules, events, programs, and activities with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing chillers, air handlers, building automation systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, vacuum systems, and electrical systems.
- Commitment to maintaining and expanding technical knowledge.
- Ability to read and write in English.
