Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
- Examines specifications of the customer’s order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
- Fabricates work piece as determined by work order specifications.
- Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties.
- Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure quality control standards are maintained.
- Solves issues related to production, machinery, processing, and/or packaging operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with fabrication shop equipment.
- Metal working experience.
- Ability to professionally lead staff by example and handle light supervisory duties.
- Familiar with training and coaching techniques.
- Ability to change or adapt work practices, priorities, or procedures.
- Ability to think and take constructive action in work-related matters.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with others in a group, cooperate with others, offer to help when needed, and foster a team climate within the group where members are committed to a common goal.
- Time management and organization skills.
- Knowledge of HDPE butt fusion and fabrication.
Career Level Dimensions
- Typical Training/Experience
- HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable.
Environmental Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs in a physical environment.
