About the role
This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds – flexibility and collaboration. In office days will be 2-3 per week averaging 10-12 days per month in our St Petersburg, FL Corporate Office.
Responsibilities
- Analyze system requirements and program interactions.
- Develop new code or reuse existing code as recommended.
- Lead projects, coordinate efforts, and monitor performance.
- Stay current with new technologies and methodologies.
- Participate in system testing, validation, and documentation.
- Provide technical advice and assist in resolving programming problems.
- Write/review system specifications, including requirements and flow charts.
- Aid in project planning and review test results.
- Address problems to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
Requirements
- More than five (5) years of relevant development or engineering experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in the brokerage industry or back-office brokerage accounting is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Experience with HPNS COBOL85, SQL/MX, MP, Pathway servers, and HPNS/Tandem Guardian OS.
- Familiarity with brokerage and clearing business/industry preferred.
- Knowledge of New Accounts opening and account transfers processes a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint, and various collaboration tools (e.g., email, Zoom, Teams).
- Skilled in requirements gathering, project estimation, developing test plans, and release/change management.
- Ability to analyze data, communicate effectively, choose appropriate actions, and remain current with technical and professional skills.
