Lead Enterprise Services Engineer

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3-5 identity and messaging engineers across the US and India. Own people performance, roadmap execution, day-to-day prioritization, and operational delivery. Partner with the Identity Engineering Tech Lead to ensure the team delivers and services stay healthy.
  • Operational Deputy: Represent Enterprise Services in cross-functional forums and make operational decisions with authority. Serve as a primary point of contact for Security, HR, and business partners who need timely answers, and act on behalf of the Senior Director when needed.
  • Operational Cadence & Governance: Own the renewal, audit, and compliance calendar across the Enterprise Services portfolio. Run the weekly operations review, drive action items to closure across the team, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. Serve as a named owner for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and internal audit cycles within scope—assessing evidence, defending controls, and owning remediation.
  • M&A Integration: Lead the identity and access workstreams for acquisitions, including Okta migrations, Active Directory integration, license consolidation, and lifecycle cutover, partnering with the Tech Lead on architecture.
  • Vendor & Program Management: Own identity-adjacent vendor relationships across a portfolio of enterprise tools, including renewals, SOWs, and escalations.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8+ years in identity and access management, including hands-on ownership of Okta (or an equivalent IdP) in production, with working knowledge of SAML, OIDC, and SCIM. 2+ years in a people-management or formal team-lead role, including performance management, hiring, and direct feedback.
  • Ownership: Demonstrated ownership of an operational cadence—renewal calendars, audit cycles, or cross-team operational programs. Comfort being the named accountable owner: answering for controls in an audit, making the call when leadership is out, and standing behind it.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and partner across organizational boundaries. Hands-on Okta administration depth, including Workflows, lifecycle management, and SCIM-based provisioning. Experience with Workday as the upstream system of record for identity. M&A IT integration experience, ideally under private-equity operating tempo. Scripting fluency (PowerShell, Python) sufficient to review your team's work and unblock them. Experience with identity governance (IGA) tooling such as ConductorOne. Experience leading identity through a SOC 2 Type II or SOX audit as the named owner. Familiarity with AI-driven automation (LLMs, agentic workflows) applied to enterprise operations.
