Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and execute Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for technical blade issues, from initial problem identification to validation of corrective actions.
- Ensure robust documentation and technical accuracy.
- Utilize AI tools to process large-scale historical failure data, accelerating root cause identification and validating the efficacy of corrective actions through statistical modeling.
- Implement and maintain automated data visualization dashboards to monitor Blade fleet quality KPIs, ensuring real-time visibility into emerging trends for leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with blade fleet performance teams to identify and address emerging technical issues before they impact fleet availability.
- Develop and drive technical action plans for identified issues. Coordinate with internal partners (Systems, Design, Materials, Manufacturing, Services) to ensure milestones are met and risks are mitigated.
- Facilitate rapid containment for critical field issues, providing technical recommendations for disposition criterion and risk population assessments.
- Act as a technical bridge between design engineering and the fleet performance team. Translate field failure data into actionable design insights or process improvements.
- Drive the application of structured problem-solving (5Why, Fishbone, Factor Tree) across assigned projects and coach team members on best practices.
- Manage RCA-related KPIs for assigned workstreams. Ensure data completeness and use analytical tools to identify emerging trends before they escalate into major events.
- Provide technical communications (RCA report, Whitepapers, TILs, SIs, and WDI instructions).
- Support technical documentation and provide technical support in customer interactions as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar Engineering degree).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience working on composite materials for wind turbine, or aerospace industries doing design/product management, and/or quality/reliability/service engineering.
- Technical Depth: Solid understanding of blade failure modes, composite materials, and structural load analysis.
- Data Skills: Experience using data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI) to analyze complex field data.
- Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs (e.g., cost-benefit of repair vs. replace) and influence project prioritization.
- Problem-Solving: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary technical projects to successful completion under tight deadlines.
- Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a globally focused, matrixed organization.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills for global collaboration.
Desired Characteristics
