About the role
As Lead Engineer for APX Fleet Design Management, you will guide fleet design strategy and standardization for the future fleet of AP1000 plants under development. You will report to the Senior Manager, APX Fleet Design Management and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA location. The position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Define Design & Delivery Strategies for Nuclear Island (NI) and Turbine Island (TI) design and delivery, including standardization approaches for multiple suppliers and adaptation to technical requirements such as 50/60 Hz impacts.
- Define and maintain the design baseline and standard Index of Engineering Documents based on standard product definition.
- Shape strategies for metrication and requirements management.
- Lead main technical teams, providing oversight while delegating work and mentoring team members.
- Provide technical guidance, direction, and collaborate with personnel including partners, suppliers, fabricators, and customers.
- Identify and define technical risks and challenges, directing efforts to successful resolution.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering, MS in Engineering preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a technical leadership role, either as a technical lead or project manager.
- Experience in AP1000 plant or new nuclear plant design helpful.
- Experience in multiple engineering disciplines and process development/improvement preferred.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills.
