Lead Engineer - APX Fleet Design
About the role
As Lead Engineer for APX Fleet Design Management, you will guide fleet design strategy and standardization for the future fleet of AP1000 plants under development.
Key Responsibilities
- Define Design & Delivery Strategies. Develop strategies for Nuclear Island (NI) design and delivery. Develop strategies for Turbine Island (TI) design and delivery. These strategies will include standardization approaches for multiple suppliers. You will also involve adapting to different technical requirements, such as 50/60 Hz impacts.
- Define and maintain the design baseline and standard Index of Engineering Documents based on standard product definition
- Shape strategies for metrication and requirements management
- Lead main technical teams, providing oversight while delegating work and mentoring team members
- Provide technical guidance, direction, and collaborate with other personnel including partners, suppliers, fabricators, and customers
- Identify and define technical risks and challenges, direct efforts to successful resolution
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, MS in Engineering
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in a technical leadership role, either as a technical lead or project manager
- Experience in AP1000 plant or new nuclear plant design helpful
- Experience in multiple engineering disciplines and process development/improvement preferred
Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.
Schedule
The position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.
