Lead Engineer - Aero Gas Turbine
Job Description
Engineering for thermal design and solution development of power plants or boilers. Involves thermodynamic dynamics and process calculations, creation of flow diagrams, implementation of components such as pumps, compressors, turbines, heat balances, etc. This should also encompass flow diagrams, operating concepts (pocc), steam/water cycle, cooling water/air systems; performance guarantees, material balances, sizing of installations, P&IDs, PFUPS, etc.; cross-functional.
Uses deep knowledge of a technical discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to implement guidelines/strategies. Has knowledge of best practices and understands how their own area integrates with others. Aware of competition and factors that distinguish the company on the market. Uses judgment and can propose alternative solutions to complex manufacturing processes with technical diversity and/or dependent production cycles.
Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of their own teams to make decisions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Can lead small projects with low risk and resource requirements. Explains information; develops skills to influence team members towards consensus within the field. Communicates expectations and handles sensitive topics.

Qualifications
This role requires advanced experience. The knowledge level is comparable to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or an equivalent with relevant experience). Desired qualities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong social skills and leadership qualities. Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Ability to initiate and moderate initiatives of moderate scope and effect. Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and resolution. Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
