Lead Electrical Design Engineer
About the role
As a Lead Electrical Design Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a key role in leading electrical engineering projects. You will oversee the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components, providing technical expertise, guidance, and support to the team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation, improve processes, and achieve project objectives. This on-site position is based in Lancaster, PA, and reports directly to the Manager of Electrical Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering projects from conception to production support.
- Design work including CCAs, cables, electrical subsystems, and test equipment.
- Write documents such as design disclosures, requirements documents, and test plans.
- Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Design and develop electrical systems and components.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Requirements
You must have:
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering with prior experience in a lead or senior engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, practices, and standards.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, capable of leading design efforts and ensuring technical accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex electrical engineering challenges.
- Experience in the US defense industry.
- Ability to obtain a US security clearance (security clearances are only granted to US citizens).
- US citizenship due to contractual requirements.
